From December 2014, new legislation (the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation 1169/2011) will become mandatory to comply with. It will require food businesses to provide allergy information on food sold unpackaged, in for example catering outlets, deli counters, bakeries and sandwich bars. There will also be changes to existing legislation on labelling allergenic ingredients in prepacked foods.
In view of this, Safe and Sound Food Solutions are having a seminar to enable a greater understanding of your obligations in regards to EU Food Information Regulation (FIR) 1169/2011. The new food labelling regulations affects all food businesses. It is good practice to prepare and begin to implement these changes into your business from now.
